Support Andean Communities this Christmas: Donate to the Chocolatada Celebration!
As the holiday season approaches, we are excited to share with you our upcoming Christmas celebrations, known as "Chocolatadas," at the Centro de Textiles Tradicionales del Cusco(CTTC). These heartwarming festivities serve as a cornerstone in fostering a deeper connection not only within the weaving associations we support but also with textile and cultural enthusiasts like you across the globe.
At CTTC, our mission is to revitalize and promote the ancestral textile traditions of Peru while ensuring sustainable development and empowerment for the weavers and their communities. With a vision to enhance recognition and appreciation for the artistry of our traditional weavers by 2027, we are committed to fostering respect, solidarity, and transparency in all our endeavors.
This year, our goal is to raise $10,000.00 USD to fund the Chocolatadas across the ten weaving associations and their respective Communities in the Andes. Your generous contributions will directly support the purchase of materials for the traditional Christmas Chocolate drink, toys for the children, blankets and food for the elders, and grocery baskets for our dedicated staff. Each donation, no matter the size, will play a significant role in making this celebration a reality for our community.
We welcome everyone who shares our passion for preserving cultural heritage and supporting sustainable community development to join us in this initiative. Your support will not only contribute to the success of our Christmas celebrations but will also help us create a sense of recognition and unity among the Andean people.
